I am Legend

We went and saw I am Legend last night. I was a pretty good movie, I screamed and jumped quite a few times while watching it. However it was a lot like 28 days/weeks later - man made virus turns almost everyone into creatures that feed off the non-infected people. If I had not just watched 28 days and 28 weeks later I would have probably liked this movie a heck off a lot more but having just watched those.

Spoiled Rotten

Wow what a great deal 9lbs of Christmas oranges for 5 bucks! Every year that goes through my head and every year I buy one of those boxes. Every year at least half of the freaking box is rotten.
Do they line the bottom half with the rotten ones then a nice layer of fresh ones on the top so when you open the box you don't see the bad ones? Is this how they can make a profit at 50 cents a pound?

Told ya Moose Jaw was a good place to move!

Shopping at Christmas Time

The yelling of a teenage girl at her dad was the first thing I encountered today when I went shopping. The yelling and screaming did pay off for her tho as I saw the item in question in her shopping cart when I saw her later. I do think the dad won a bit as she seemed to be paying for it by herself and didn't seem in any better of a mood than when she was yelling.
The second encounter I had was when I asked a question. When holiday shopping never ask questions, if you don't see it assume they don't have it and walk away. I inquired about Guitar Hero for the 360, and proceeded to get a 5 minute lecture about doing all my Christmas shopping in October from the cashier. There was also many parents yelling at their kids to stop doing one thing and start behaving.
I got all this and I was even doing Christmas shopping I was simply running in to get a new printer cartridge. Boy I can't wait to do my actual Christmas shopping!!

Ahhh Muffins

Back in May a few of us from my soccer team were at a school and we happened upon a back room that had a Tim Horton's muffin dispenser. We had just finished a game and were all extremely hungry. I waited for my turn in line and got my favorite kind of all time, carrot with that cream cheese icing. This looked like the best muffin I was ever going to eat, it smelled so incredible. I was just about to take a bite of this mouth watering muffin and Wes woke me up!! We were camping during May long weekend, so I got woke up to cold, a tent, no toilet, no soap, I was so mad that I didn't get my muffin.......

I got reminded of this a couple of days ago, there was 3 of us, one of us was being picked to be sent to space. The one who had to go was the one that did the best on this test they were making us take, none of us wanted to go. The other 2 were able to sneak away and not do the test so they failed and didn't have to go. I snuck away too, but someone did my test for me... There was no getting out of it I had to go to space. I was tried everything to get out of going, but it was too late I was being forced to go. Just when I was about to board the space shuttle, Wes woke me up!

I suppose I have to forgive Wes for making me miss out on my muffin as he did save me from being sent to outer space.

Amero?

I just watched Zeitgeist (which is available online at: http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ ). I recommend watching it as it will get you thinking...

I read lots of "conspiracy theory" web sites, watch lots of the documentaries so I'd heard most of the movie in some form before. The two things that stuck out in my mind were:
1. The Amero
2. Divide and Conquer

1. The Amero: I first heard of it a few months ago and my thought on this was the US would benefit the most from this happening as they have the largest debt within the 3 countries.
From the Federal Reserve Web site : "Flow of Funds Summary Statistics Second Quarter 2007 Combined, state and local governments and the federal government had outstanding debt of $7.1 trillion. " That is $7,100,000,000,000
Mexico's debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)shows a debt of 167,228 million total debt as of 2005, I also found a lot of articles about the US bailing out Mexico in 1986 when Mexico was unable to pay its debt to the IMF. So from what I can gather the USA is well invested in Mexico.

My prediction is that the US dollar will continue to fall (and I'm betting this fall is planned) then the Amero will be soon be introduced.

2.Divide and Conquer - so simple

This movie also revived my belief that George Bush is the worst choice for President...ever...
Ahh but I do love his quotes sometimes :
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." --Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004
"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." --to FEMA director Michael Brown, who resigned 10 days later amid criticism over his handling of the Hurricane Katrina debacle, Mobile, Ala., Sept. 2, 2005
"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." --Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000
"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator." --Washington, D.C., Dec. 19, 2000

I still think that the world trade center was imploded, I have thought that since the day it happened when I watched the twin towers go down on TV and I remember thinking 'wow that looks an awful lot like the planned demolitions I watched on the Discovery channel a couple weeks ago'.

Doe a deer

Last night I was on my way to go farming and the ipod crapped out so I pulled over to fix it, this nice guy stopped to see if I was ok, I was, so he drove off, I gave up on the ipod and drove off myself. Not 3 minutes later I see a car pulled over on the side of the road. Same guy, I stopped, the poor guy smacked a deer.

I felt bad this poor guy stops to help then ends up smacking a deer...

Went to Regina yesterday, I've heard it was dumpy but, after driving around a bit today most of the town is total ghetto. For all those unfamiliar with Regina but familiar with Calgary, imagine an entire city made up of Forest Lawn and Vic Park.

I am Criss Angel in Reverse

So I thought I had the habit of misplacing stuff.. ex)my keys, cell phone, etc. but then it magically turns up in the weirdest places and I don't recall putting the stuff there. Its been happening for years and today I finally figured it out, I'm not misplacing things, I am Criss Angel in Reverse. I have to ability to think of an object and make it disappear for a while then make it magically reappear in a totally different spot.... This is the only logical explanation I can find for me "misplacing" my keys on a daily basis.

What height qualifies a person as a miget?
I think anything under 5'5" should be quailified as a miget. People under that height should have to go live on an island, preferably PEI.

There is this chick on the bus that I'm so afraid I'm going to step on her and squash her... she's tiny ..If this was back in the cave man days she would totally be the first to get eaten by a lion cause her legs are like 2ft and have you ever seen a miget run ?? But I bet she can get her pants on like really fast ....

WALMART FINALLY GOT ME !!!!
Current mood: cynical
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping

I hate Walmart and I avoid it like the plague, but Saturday I found myself stuck! I was running late going to a 2 year olds birthday in Airdrie and I still hadn't gotten her a present !! I was going up deerfoot towards Airdrie and I saw it "WALMART" I was like god damn it !!!! I didn't know what else to do and I couldn't go to a freaking 2 year olds party with out a present. I pulled off the 64th exit and headed to the Walmart. I was cursing the whole time..freaking stupid walmart..errr errr errrr.. so I probably wasn't in the best mood ever while going in; anyways I dashed to the toy isle got some age appropriate toys for the 2 year old; dashed again over to the card/ gift bag area to get those. Then dashed to the line and came to a halt! The experience till then wasn't too bad, the toy sections and the card sections were both well labeled so I had no problems there but that line up !!! After waiting forever, I finally made it to the cashier and what do I get ??? freaking attitude from the freaking cashier

Bernie : "Could you please just put the stuff in that gift bag? " (mostly cause I didnt want anyone to know I shopped at walmart and a little bit to save a plastic tree)

Cashier: while rolling her eyes "please"

Bernie: "I said please"

Cashier: while standing there staring at me and not moving "I didn't hear it"

Bernie: "I don't care, PLEASE hurry the fuck up!!"

I don't care how many 2 year olds go without presents from me I'm never going to the freaking Walmart again!!

The Alberta government's predicted surplus is $6.5 billion and will probably end up being more as the oil price is not likely going to take a nose dive.

Now I totally didn't mind getting a cheque for $400 bucks last year but I would have much rather had that money spent on the smelly freaking bus system or hospitals. Mostly cause it would be nice to get to work on time and not have to watch 2 or 3 smelly buses go by me cause they are over-crowded.

Hopefully this time they spend it on stuff that benefits Bernie

I took Friday off work to shop and I drove my car more that day then I have in a LONG LONG time! Saturday while I was driving around, some more, the service engine soon light came on. I opened the hood and found a bunch of cigarette butts on my engine. I looked and I was like what in the f*ck are there cigarette butts on the engine for, I pulled it off and proceeded to freak right out when I found out what it was...a mouse house. Amberlea, Derek, and Chad had me on the speakerphone in Chad's truck when I found this and totally made fun of my "feeling dirty" cause there were the most disgusting creatures on earth in my car. (I'm sure other people have sold their cars for having mice in them)

Last night I saw a kid on the train that reminded me of Vern's, Crystal's, something, something something's, someone, mailman, other guy … this kid Wade I can't remember if he is 7 or 9. Anyways …

I was at Vern's place New Years Eve and before I left to go to a party little Wade wanted a kiss. So I let him give me one on the cheek … he bent to one knee did the little thing with his arm that hockey players do when they score a goal. Got up danced around and screamed out yay, waved his hands around the air, danced around the house some more, and did a bit of singing.

Now a couple of weeks ago I kissed a new guy, the reaction was not at all the same, in fact I think he fell asleep 5 minutes after he kissed me.

This is now going to be how I judge to see if a guy gets a second kiss if there is no dancing around, screaming yay, waving of the hands in the air and singing there will be no second kiss.

I had a dream last night that I had this new job.
It was a job taking orders for meat.
People called in gave me their orders and I entered them in a computer.
I was there for a week and I really hated this job so I left early every day, at the end of the week I had a review.
The boss was my old sex ed instructor that was a very old, stern lady.
She told me that my production was only at 60% for the last hour of each day... I knew this cause i left early every day..
For some weird reason my mom was in my review too and she said that she didn't think I could do the job.
I was so mad in my dream mad at the old lady for going to fire me cause I wasn't working and mad at my mom cause she told the lady to fire me...
The screwed up thing was I was still angry when I woke up and I really hated this job and didn't want to do it anyways....

I think I need therapy!

Doomsday Clock set forward by two minutes

Updated Wed. Jan. 17 2007 11:08 AM ET

CTV.ca News Staff

The minute hand of the Doomsday Clock has been moved closer to the fatal midnight hour to reflect the growing concerns of global terrorism, the unchecked nuclear ambitions of Iran and North Korea and -- in a first -- the threat of climate change.
The clock was first set 60 years ago by an elite group of nuclear scientists at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, shortly after the United States dropped its atomic bombs on Japan. It was meant to symbolize the perils facing humanity from nuclear weapons.
But for the first time, the clock is also registering the threat of global warming, which they call a "second nuclear age."
The clock, which hangs in the University of Chicago, has been set at seven minutes to midnight since 2002. It was moved Wednesday to five minutes before the hour.
"Not since the first atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki has the world faced such perilous choices," the scientist said in a statement.
"North Korea's recent test of a nuclear weapon, Iran's nuclear ambitions, a renewed emphasis on the military utility of nuclear weapons, the failure to adequately secure nuclear materials, and the continued presence of some 26,000 nuclear weapons in the United States and Russia are symptomatic of a failure to solve the problems posed by the most destructive technology on Earth."
"The dangers posed by climate change are nearly as dire as those posed by nuclear weapons," the statement continued.
"The effects may be less dramatic in the short term than the destruction that could be wrought by nuclear explosions, but over the next three to four decades climate change could cause irremediable harm to the habitats upon which human societies depend for survival."
The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists was founded by former Manhattan Project scientists who turned against nuclear weapons after developing the first atomic bomb.
Over the past 60 years, their Doomsday clock has been moved 18 times.
It moved to two minutes before midnight - its closest proximity to doom -- in 1953 after the United States and the Soviet Union detonated hydrogen bombs.
It moved back to its furthest point from doom -- 17 minutes to midnight -- in 1991 when a new global nuclear arms treaty was signed.
Its keepers last moved the clock's hand in February 2002, a few months after 9/11 and after the United States withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty.
The decision to move the minute hand is made by the Bulletin's Board of Directors in consultation with its Board of Sponsors, which include Stephen Hawking and 18 Nobel Laureates.

MY VIEW:

Back when I was in high school I remember lot's of talk about global warming and climate change and here it is 10 years later and now global warming and climate change are back in the main stream news again. What is up with that ? Did the reporters just forget about it for 10 years? Is it really a threat ? Is it just all political? A conspiracy to cover up something way bigger that is happening in the world?

I personally don't have a problem with global warming, it stems down to survival of the fittest and evolution as I see it. We might evolve into warped mutated creates that are unknown to us but I'm sure that is what the chimps thought about the first humans... In theory we will evolve with our surroundings so what is the big deal about it anyways?

You are ...if you keep ramming me
Current mood: amused
Category: Life

Vern and I were in the line up in Canadian Tire in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan last week, getting a computer desk (that comes in a rather large box) and some stuff to pimp my ford.
I don't know if you have ever been to Canadian Tire in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan before but if you have you know how the line ups work. There is one isle with a cashier on either side. Anyways me and Vern were sitting there in line with this large desk in a box and this little old lady rams her cart in to the box trying to get by it 3 times.
She then asks "Are you in this line first (meaning the one on the left)or am I ??" (she was first in the left line, me and Vern were in the line on the right but this box was huge so she couldn't get by) so instead of saying 'excuse me' or 'please move that great big box outta my way' she rams the box
I looked at her and said "If you keep ramming me you'll be first." She apologized for ramming me after that.

I was on a team with this guy who's name kept escaping me, so I was calling him "Team", it was fitting as we were on the same team. So after about 20 minutes of play and me cheering for "Team" he walks up to me and says to me "my names not Dean"

Yesterday I moved into the office at the end. I went to pull the blinds up (cause I like to stare out the window) but the blinds didn't work, the string was missing. " Push on the window!"

Someone called me today to see how many shares where outstanding and issued, I looked it up and told him 14, 138, 914.
What I then learned from this man :
1 . His sister lived in Alberta about 25 years ago near Bragg Creek, she made a butt load (his words) of money selling her land.
2. Alberta people are racist.
why? because we are all rich from oil
3. His sister is also racist.
4. It is best to buy shares when they are at a low price.

This was a half an hour phone conversation and I can't recall right now what else I learned from this man, I must have not really been listening while I was trying not to laugh my ass off.

Is it wrong to make kids sing for their candy?

I didn't think so, I had to at pretty much every house when i was a kid!!

Making them sing provided some real entertainment value. We got sung a vast variety of songs. The best one was "thriller" those kids where awesome they even did a dance with it.

I got a couple of bratty kids with snotty answers:

Them: Trick or treat?
Me: Can you sing a song?
Them: No
Me: Well no candy for you i guess.
Them: We have candy, you sing a song!
Me: Get off my property before I take the hose to you !!!

I was talking to my dad last night and they got 0 kids at their place, now he has to eat 20 chocolate bars !!
